Greetings fair reader.
I’m in the middle of a migration from WordPress to either Bludit or Publii.
Both tools are static site generators, Bludit resides at the website, meaning I interact with it directly, kinda like WP. Publii is a stand-alone application that uploads the website to the website. In the early days I used something called Thingamablog for the site, which was not dissimilar to Publii. You can see some of that here on the Wayback Machine.
Currently, I’m evaluating both systems. Each has it’s plusses and minuses. The challenge, at this point, is getting all the WP stuff migrated over. Each have a plethora of themes to pick from. At this precise instant in time, I’ve chosen the theme I like best for both tools, which is what you will see if you go to the sites.

What this has highlighted is that a lot of the posts are a mess formatting wise. So, I’m going back through the years of posts here and cleaning them up.
The observant reader will see that the spacing between paragraphs has been removed, making the entries a bit less attractive. I’ve removed the tweaks that were made over the years in making an old theme, Photo Diary, compatible with the new shiny WordPress Block Editor.
Once I’ve got all the existing content cleaned up, I’ll import it into both systems. From that point, I’ll be posting entries in all three to see which one works for me.
This all is going to take some time. I’ll post here as the project proceeds.
