Fairfax Antique Car Show

The City of Fairfax, the town we live in, is an interesting community. Once upon a time it was small out of the way hamlet isolated from the hubbub of the WMA. Nowadays, urban sprawl has encompassed Fairfax and it acts a thoroughfare through which people travel getting back and forth to work. Saying that, it’s been a pleasant place to live the 2+ years we have been here. Fairfax still is operated as a small town and presents a large number of annual events, many of which we have taken part in. The New House, continued…

Well, weekends have been consumed of late by the construction of our next (final) home, so there isn’t a ton of photo activity to talk about. We’ve been driving back and forth to Williamsburg pretty much every weekend of late. Progress on the house is amazing. Josh, the contractor, hinted last week that they think it could be ready in June. Wow, that’s a far cry from August we were prepared for. Let’s look at a few pictures to see the progress. Labor Day Car Show in Fairfax

One of the pleasantries of living in the small college town of Fairfax, Virginia are the myriad of social events put on either by the city or GMU throughout the year. There is always something to see and do and it’s been areal treat being able to participate just by walking, no worries about parking and such.
